Osteoporosis is a chronic disease of bone metabolism characterized by changes in the quantity and architectural structure of bone tissue, specifically a decrease in their density and quality. Over time the bones become thinner and more fragile and the risk of fracture increases. Osteoporosis can most often be diagnosed, which is why screening is particularly important.
At Stavroulis Diagnostic Lab we use the state-of-the-art DEXA method to diagnose and assess the degree of osteoporosis.
