Our diagnostic center has a contract with EOPYY and all public insurance funds. In order for the examinee to perform examinations at a private provider, the conditions set by EOPYY regarding the validity of referrals must be met.

Simple tests such as digital X-rays, panoramic, cephalometric X-rays, mammography, bone density measurement and some CT scans do not require an appointment.

Dental implants are metal objects, but they are usually made of titanium or titanium alloy which in no way can be magnetized since it does not contain any iron. The same applies to all alloys used inside the oral cavity.
So there is no reason to worry about whether or not you can have an MRI. You can proceed with complete safety and without any limitations, provided that a minimum of three months has elapsed since the medical procedure.

The metal hip/knee graft allows you to have an MRI without any restrictions for your safety provided that at least 3 months have passed since the medical procedure.
However, the interesting parameter is that as metal objects, grafts can alter the image of the MRI around the area where they are located. Thus, if the study area is the hip or knee where the metal graft has been placed, the image will be limited diagnostically due to paramagnetic parasites in the image.

Practically all stents, at least all stents that have been widely used for years, have demonstrated resistance of their material to high magnetic fields, allowing the patient to have an MRI without any restrictions on their safety. The prerequisite is that a minimum of 3 months have passed since the medical procedure and that the stent was constructed after 2004. For stents before 2004 you must provide the special identity card of the stent to confirm its absolute compatibility with the magnetic field.

The general rule is that patients who have conventional pacemakers implanted are not allowed to undergo MRI, as these devices have metal parts and sensitive electronic circuits, which if exposed to the magnetic field of the MRI scanner can disrupt their operation causing significant problems to the patient.
However, some pacemakers include MRI safe technology and there are also some new technology pacemakers that are compatible with the magnetic field if the specialized pacemaker technician adjusts it appropriately.

Contrast agents rarely lead to side effects. The factors that increase the likelihood of allergy to contrast medium have not been fully elucidated.
